Household Hazardous Waste Pesticide Disposal Collection Day

The City of Clinton, Sampson County Cooperative Extension Service, and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will hold a one day household hazardous waste pesticide disposal collection day for Sampson County on Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clinton City Market free of charge.
This one day collection event is open to homeowners and farmers who reside in Sampson County. You may bring any pesticides (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, etc) that are in their original containers and clearly labeled for disposal. Unlabeled containers will be considered on a case by case basis. For disposal of large quantities of pesticides, you must call the Sampson County Extension Service and pre-register.
Items not accepted are paints, oil, gas, explosives, drugs, hard cylinders, mini-bulk containers and other non pesticide HHW materials.
